Buyer FAQ
Clear answers before quotation.
Do you manufacture the cases in your own factory?
Yes. We purchase standard panels, aluminum profiles, hardware and foam to the approved specification. Panel cutting, CNC foam machining, case fabrication, assembly and order inspection are completed by our own team in Cangzhou.
Have you supplied projects for overseas markets?
Yes. Many orders are purchased by trading companies and distributors for overseas supply, so we do not always receive the final destination or end-user name. We prepare the product, packing and available order documents to the confirmed buyer requirements.
What is your minimum order quantity?
MOQ starts from 1 piece. Pricing depends on dimensions, construction, interior and project requirements.
Can you make a prototype?
Yes. Physical prototypes are paid. They are recommended when fit, handling, access or functional approval is important.
What should I send for a quotation?
Equipment dimensions, weight, quantity, destination, transport method, photos or drawings, and a list of accessories. Approximate information is enough to start.
Which foam materials are available?
EVA, PE, XPE and PU options are available. Density, thickness and structure are selected according to equipment and use. Special claims such as ESD or flame resistance require a specified material grade.
Which panel thicknesses and colors can be quoted?
Phenolic-laminated plywood is commonly quoted in approximately 6, 9 or 12 mm. Black is the standard starting point. Blue, red, gray, white and other laminate colors may be sourced, subject to supplier stock and minimum material quantity. A lightweight composite panel can also be reviewed when case weight is important.
How long does a custom flight case project take?
Timing depends on drawing complexity, component availability, prototype approval, quantity and testing. For early planning, allow approximately 1–3 working days for requirement review, 2–5 for drawing, 7–15 for an optional paid prototype and 15–30 for production after approval. These are planning ranges; the committed schedule is stated in the quotation.
Can you provide drawings?
Yes. Project drawings can define dimensions, construction, hardware positions and internal layout before production.
Can you provide inspection photos or video?
Project-specific prototype and pre-shipment photos or videos can be agreed as part of the order workflow.
Are the cases waterproof or military-grade?
Not automatically. Those claims depend on the exact case configuration and evidence from an agreed test method.
Are special export certificates always required?
There is no single universal certification for every empty flight case. Requirements depend on materials, destination, application and buyer contract. The importer or customs agent should confirm destination-specific requirements.
Can you arrange third-party testing?
Testing can be discussed. The method, sample configuration, acceptance criteria, schedule and cost must be agreed first.
Can you supply components or flat-pack kits?
Yes. We can supply pre-cut panels, profiles, purchased hardware and machined foam for customer assembly. The final packing method depends on the case design, quantity and shipping economics.
Do you work from photos, or do you need drawings?
Photos are enough to start a conversation and are often the fastest way to get a first indication. For anything with tight tolerances, cavities are routed from dimensions or a drawing. If you have a photograph with a tape measure in frame, that is usually enough for us to quote and then confirm on a drawing.
How do you handle a change after the drawing is approved?
Amendments are issued as a new drawing revision and you approve that revision. If a change reaches us after cutting has started, we will tell you what is recoverable and what is not before any work continues.
What happens if the case does not fit when it arrives?
The approved drawing is the reference. If the finished item does not match the approved drawing, we correct or replace it. If the equipment changed after approval, that is a new specification rather than a defect, and we will quote the amendment.
Can you match a case or insert we already have?
Yes. Send the internal dimensions, photographs of the existing item and, where a close match matters, a sample of the foam grade. Matching an existing insert is a common starting point for reorders from a previous supplier.
Do you supply in quantities below one container?
Yes. Air freight and courier are used for samples and small orders. Trade terms are quoted per shipment, so a single prototype and a full container are both workable.
How is the price affected if our volume grows?
Repeat orders run from the approved drawing, which removes the design and setup share from the unit price. If you expect volume growth, tell us at quotation stage so the specification is set up to scale.
What foam grade should we choose?
It follows the load and the equipment surface. PE for heavy items and base layers, EVA for general tool and instrument protection, XPE where a finer routed surface matters, PU where shock absorption is the priority. If you describe the equipment we will propose a grade rather than list options.
Can you provide a sample insert before we commit to a case?
Yes. Inserts are often produced first as a paid sample, because the insert is what determines whether the equipment is actually protected. The case is specified once the insert is confirmed.
